Want to start saving money on your utility bills? Look no further than Owens Corning Atticat Blow in fiberglass insulation....Here's how..Pink is green!
Let's put a number on your electric bill, let's say it is $260 average per month.
Now let's assume that say 60% of your electric use is heating and cooling, so we have $156 a month.
If you could reduce the 40% energy loss by 50% then you are saving 20% per month. Which gives us $31.20 per month x 12 months = $374.40 savings per year.
2 years = $694.80 3 years = $1,123.20 4 years = $1,497.60 and so on for the life of your home!
Right now you can still claim a $500 tax credit + 3 years of savings the insulation has paid for itself. And again these numbers are low estimates, really you can recover your cost at about 2 years...Then you are getting a monthly savings that is paying you, earning money by not paying money, savings.
Here is the greatest example that i can offer, if you take the cost of your insulation job and place it in a savings account at a bank, what do you make a month? The highest i have seen is about 3.5% down to 1.5%...Well, If insulating your attic pays you back at even a low 10%....would it be wise? How about our figure of 20%...30%...seems to me a simple decision. I know what i would choose and i did!
Knowing for the last 5 years that my home needed insulation in the attic i just never seemed to get to it...I lost 5 years of savings! Last month I insulated my attic including garage and over porches, in total, every surface of ceiling in our attic to reduce thermal transfer even form exterior surfaces that are non heated and cooled! Why? Because it is the right way to do the job to help the attic be totally separated from the home. It Works by my own personal testimony, my home temperature became more even, comfortable and my A/C units cycle less....I make a special effort to call my insulation customers after about a week and ask them if they notice a difference..The answer is yes every time!...Every Time! by the way, my home actually had a decent amount of insulation in the attic since it was only 9 years old...but not enough. If you can see your ceiling joists (wood studs) you are in dire need of insulation!! You are bleeding money! If your insulation is a couple of inches over your joists you still need it badly! To think that i do insulation work daily and never did my own home, It's because we never stop and think... how can i save some money?

Why Owens Corning Atticat? Remember that i said it will last for the life of your home? It Does..Owens Atticat is a Non Settling product which means if you install 10 inches it will remain 10 inches for good. There are cheaper insulation products available, and there is a reason they are cheaper. They do not carry the quality or the R value compared per inch that Owens Atticat does. I install Owens because they carry a reputation for the highest quality products available and my company carries a reputation for customer satisfaction. Therefore I am assured that you get the most value for your money...you know the old saying...If something is worth doing it's worth doing right or do it right the first time...
